Noodles are one of the oldest forms of food in India.

Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan have been sharing their favorite noodling scenes in their movies.

A boy eats the noodles and makes them into a meal.
The boy is given the choice of curry or soup.
The boy’s mother has to clean the dishes and put them back on the table.

Here is how to make Nami.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
In a large bowl, mix together the rice, lentils, tomatoes, red onions, garlic and ginger.
Combine the rice with the vegetables, spices and milk.
Add the cooked rice, milk and spices.
Take the rice out of the oven and place on a tray.
Using a spoon, scrape the rice from the tray, add the sauce, then return to the oven.
Cook for 20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through.
Slice and serve with vegetables, gravy and salt.
Dal Bali, another popular dish made out the same vegetables as Nami but with the addition of onions, tomato and red peppers.
Serve it with rice and rice and potatoes.
Karam is a spicy dish made from ground beef and onions.
A famous Indian dish that is also called karam karadhi, karadi and karam dal is known as the karaadi, which means the best.
Mix the lentils with tomatoes and salt, cook the mixture for 30 minutes.
Toss with onions, tomatoes and garlic, then cook for 10 minutes.
When the sauce is done, add some more sauce, add in the cooked lentils and the spices and serve.
