When will we get a free online nurse education?
A new online nurse training course has hit the internet.
The program is called ‘Nurse First’ and aims to give people the confidence to become a better nurse, after learning the basics of how to operate a device such as a ventilator.
A number of people are already taking the course, with one woman claiming she was able to operate one of her ventilators with just a few hours of practice.
The first person to complete the course is now working as a nurse on a busy Sydney hospital ward.
The online Nurse First program is being taught by the ABC’s Dr Kate Ketchum and Dr Andrew O’Neill.
It is available to anyone aged 16 or over who has a valid prescription.
The course is free to enrol.
